Dress Up

Hello Everyone!

What girl doesn’t like playing dress-up? My girls love going in my closet to grab heels and clothes! Well recently my girls took over my closet, but there was one problem….the girls needed accessories LOL! I thought, why not use my BossKut Gazelle along with awesome files and see what I come up with! I will be the first to admit, this is jewelry for fun BUT with the right outfit….. J

I cut file 0376 Florette II on thick cardstock. The charm was cut at 2.5” and the earrings were cut at 1”. The detail cut out great on the smaller cuts! Once the images were cut, I used the melting pot and UTEE for stability. After the UTEE cooled, I added Gold Perfect Pearls. My daughter wanted to add bling…so there you have it!

You are really are limited to your imagination! I think if you enjoy unique jewelry, you can really make some awesome one of a kind jewelry with your BossKut Gazelle! You can really bling it up!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Don’t forget to stop by BossKut and check out the talented DT and for more files! Kenya~

Water Fun-Platinum Scraps Challenge

Hello Everyone!

I am here today with a project using a sketch from Platinum Scraps! I had an awesome time last week playing in their challenge and thought I would play again! When I saw the sketch, I immediately knew what picture I wanted to use. Go on over there to Platinum Scraps and see all of the different interpretations of this great sketch from all of the talented designers!

For this layout, I used different DCWV paper collections; The Spring Stack, Butterfly & Blossom and Green Tea. The blue pp reminded me of a pool. To add a little interest to the paper, I painted some “waves” with acrylic paint and Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. Now the paper has shimmer!

In a similar pattern, just darker, I cut the bubbles and shadow for the title. I also used the Wave Border Punch (Fiskars) to punch a border in that same paper. The pattern from the mat was layered on the wave. The strips were cut from the paper collection. I used the Gazelle to cut the title.

The flowers are a combination of I Am Roses (gardenias, rose buds-orange, cherry blossoms), Prima (yellow and pink roses), Stamping Scrapping (white rose buds) and Michael’s Dollar Bin (white mini roses). The foliage was cut using Spellbinders dies. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch and ZVA crystals were added.

That is it! I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Remember to go over to Platinum Scraps to play along! Have a great day! Kenya~

You're the Best

Hello Everyone!

Today, I would like to share a simple card that can be used for Mother’s Day or as an encouragement card. Presley’s Curls has become my favorite file! Not only does it cut beautifully using the BossKut Gazelle, it is SO versatile and it has special meaning! You all will be seeing a lot of this file LOL! This time, I used the shadow to form the card by welding two of the shapes together. Make sure to mirror one of the shapes to ensure they line up properly. Then I layered the detailed image on top. I used an embossing folder for the middle section to add texture.

For the embellishments, I used the Forget Me Nots for the large rose in the middle. I used Mustard Seed Distress Ink to compliment the yellow in the rest of the card. I added the rest of the embellishments from items I had in my craft room for a finished look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Please stop by and visit BossKut for more files and inspiration! Kenya~

BK Name Plate

Hello Everyone!

I am dropping off a project I made for my BossKut YouTube videos. This is not a Design Team project although I could technically use it as one. I used the Florette 0367 for the doily. The flowers were from the Forget Me Nots (I shared these the other day) and the negatives from the Florette. I also made the roll flowers in the Fun Time software.

The “plate” is a recycled piece of chipboard. I used Brushed Corduroy Crackle Paint for the edge. The paper is Prima’s Madeline Collection which I distressed with the TH distress tool. The title was cut from a font in the FT software.

That is it! Thank you for stopping by. Don’t forget to check out BossKut for more files, projects and inspiration, Kenya~

Perfect Match!

Hello Everyone!

Back in February, I saw that TH introduced his new Distress Markers. When I saw these and I found out what they did, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them! I was on a forum that I frequent and told a few of the ladies that I had an idea in mind and here it is:

I figured since they are water based and is activated with water, my idea should work! I LOVE how they turned out! Here is a top view:

I used the Forget Me Nots 0532 file from BossKut and this:

I hope you like them too. I have a few more to make for a Krafty friend ;-)! Thanks for stopping by, Kenya

Lattice Easter Card

Hello Everyone!

Easter is a few Sundays away and I thought a card would be a nice project to do! Let’s get started!

This card can fit in a standard A2 sized envelope. I used the Lattice Egg file BKD004 to weld one lattice portion and three of the solid pieces together to form the card base. As you all know, I LOVE lilies! So I wanted to use the Lily file BKD013 for the card front. I thought it looked good with that lattice.

On the panel behind the card front, I used the BK Grass file and the Simple Cross. I added glitter to the cross for texture. I colored the background with Stormy Sky Distress Ink (I did this on the inside panels as well).

On the inside, I used the Dove 0331 file. I cut those twice (mirrored one) and covered them with flocking. I added a sentiment and left the other side blank to add a personal message to the receiver.

To finish it off, I added a banner with a sentiment to the front and flat back pearls.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Don’t forget to stop by BossKut for files and inspiration. Thanks for stopping by, Kenya

Little Peeker

Hello Everyone!

I have been spoiled for a good portion of the month with 70 plus degree weather! Unfortunately, the temperature dropped down to the low fifties and it is rainy today L (but still unseasonably warm). There is a silver lining to this dark cloud! It is a perfect day to do a craft with the kiddos! Since I KNOW my mother is going to give the girls Easter Baskets, I figured why not make something to go in them that the girls can enjoy and that will last a little longer than the candy! I pulled out my trusty Gazelle and put it to work…

I used a shape from the Fun Time library for the base of the chalkboard. I cut the shape twice; once using chipboard (to give the chalkboard support) and second in chalkboard paper. Both materials cut AWESOME in the Gazelle! For the cute little chick, I used the Chick Peeker 0303 file. It comes with everything you need (wings, beak, eyes and head). However, I wanted to use a stamp for that adorable face J. I opted to cut the chick with white cardstock so it can be colored in.

Since this is a chalkboard, I decided to add a chalk holder under the wings and added a twine ribbon to finish off the project. That is it! A quick and easy project that the kiddos can enjoy on a cold rainy day! Don’t forget to pop over to BossKut for this file and others. Thanks for stopping by, Kenya

*This would also be a fun gift to give to a class or to children in Sunday School J
